Good faith estimate

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
If you don’t have insurance or are not using insurance to pay for your care, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care services are expected to cost.
The Human Practice PLLC is a private-pay psychotherapy practice. A Good Faith Estimate will provide information about the expected charges for your psychotherapy services based on the information known at the time the estimate is prepared.
What Your Estimate May Include
Your Good Faith Estimate may include the expected cost of psychotherapy sessions based on your current treatment plan, anticipated frequency of sessions, and the fee in effect at the time the estimate is prepared.
Because the length and frequency of psychotherapy can change based on your needs and preferences, the estimate is not a guarantee of the exact number of sessions you will attend or the total cost of treatment.
Your Current Session Fee
The current fee for a 60-minute psychotherapy session is $150.
Your individualized Good Faith Estimate will provide an estimate of expected charges based on the anticipated frequency and duration of services. If your treatment needs or the frequency of sessions changes, your estimated total cost may also change.
When You Will Receive an Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing when required under federal law. You may also ask The Human Practice PLLC for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service.
Your estimate will be based on the information reasonably known at the time it is created and may be updated if your expected services or circumstances change.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Expected
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
